The highest value-per-dollar recovery tool you can own. Roll it underfoot to work the plantar fascia — the standard first-line self-treatment for plantar fasciitis and for the general foot ache that comes from standing all day or running. Because the fascial line runs from the sole up the back of the leg, releasing the feet often loosens hamstrings and lower back too, which makes it a smart thing to do *before* you get on a foam roller.
Roll underfoot for 1–2 minutes per side, seated first, standing once you can tolerate it. Pause on tender spots for 20–30 seconds rather than grinding back and forth. Also works in the hands and along the forearms for desk-work tightness.
The flat spikes are dense rubber rather than sharp plastic — more forgiving than spiky plastic balls, and won't damage flooring. Small enough to live in a work bag or under a desk. Go lighter than feels productive at first; overdoing the plantar fascia sets recovery back.
